Steps

You should start planning at least 12 weeks ahead of travelling, which gives plenty of time to space your vaccinations for maximum effect and safety. Accelerated regimes can be done in as little as 4 to 6 weeks, and in emergency in even less time, although this is not ideal.
Please note that the information provided by the NHS Fit for travel website is for guideline purposes only and may not be comprehensive, current or appropriate to your personal circumstances. At Doctor Today our travel clinic advisers have access to the specialist TRAVAX™ database containing the most comprehensive and up-to-date information regarding health conditions at destinations around the world. They are also trained in identifying your special needs (e.g. vaccinations recommended may vary according to factors such as the length of your stay, your personal vaccination history, potential interactions with other medication you may be taking, and whether or not you are pregnant).
